Time for remembrance


Anzac Biscuits
Anzac biscuits are hard, long lasting biscuits that the women would make to send away to the soldiers. The Anzac biscuits are food for the soldiers while they fought in the war so they wouldn't get as hungry.


The Poppies
The Poppies are red flowers that grew during the war in Gallipoli, a soldier found a patch of them in the field while he was  running for cover.  The poppies are also a remembrance sign of who died in the war while battle.

The Gallipoli Peninsula
The battle of Gallipoli is on the Gallipoli peninsula and is also where the world war 1 took place, between 25 of April 1915 and 9 of January 1916.

The Dardanelles
The Dardanelles is a strait that provided the route to the Russian Empire. A strait is a body of water in between two islands.
