Hands up for Henna! - Literacy reflection

This week has been a bit messy starting off with ANZAC biscuits then going into testing and then the week ending with mufti day. Enjoy my presentation of the literacy work we have done this week!

This week we were reading journals and then we had to write and answer questions about the story we read. one of the stories were called Hands up for henna and it was sort of like a documentary about henna and the person was called Asli and she explained how it was special to her.

Anzac Lest we forget

Anzac
Time for remembrance

Anzac Biscuits
Anzac biscuits are hard, long lasting biscuits that the women would make to send away to the soldiers. The Anzac biscuits are food for the soldiers while they fought in the war so they wouldn't get as hungry.

The Poppies
The Poppies are red flowers that grew during the war in Gallipoli, a soldier found a patch of them in the field while he was  running for cover.  The poppies are also a remembrance sign of who died in the war while battle.
